Trusting yourself is tantamount to believing in yourself.
One thing you guys have learned about me is that I am a music enthusiast. Metal and Rock to be exact. There is one song that I adopted as a mantra for my life. The lyrics signify to me my “starting point” in life. The place where my travels into change began. So, click on the song below, listen to the song and then you can read the lyrics in the song that spoke to me…
“Breaking Inside” by Shinedown
Out here, nothings clear
Except the moment I decided to move on and I ignited
Disappear into the fear
You know there ain’t no comin’ back
When you’re still carrying the past
You can’t erase, separate
Cigarette in my hand,
Hope you all understandI won’t be the last one in line
I finally figured out what’s mine[cincopa 10659017]
Let’s breakdown your life into the two components that you MUST trust in…
Trust In Yourself To Learn From Your Mistakes
Through many, many posts we have worked on what’s behind you.
We’ve covered all the “bad crap” that could happen in your life. I’ve heard stories from many of you that would send chills down the average person’s spine. I don’t divulge specifics of what others tell me, but I can say that I’m impressed that many of you are still functioning in society.
On the flip side of that coin, those negative events have contributed to who you are today.
So taking away the past would seem kinda silly, wouldn’t it? Like cutting out part of yourself?
I can honestly say that those of you who’ve shared some of your life stories are amazing people. I wouldn’t want you to change your core person at all.
We’ve all made mistakes. We’ve all had bad things happen to us. Do we let them crush us? Or do we embrace them as things to “Never Again” repeat?
So what do you do with the past?
Learn from it. Move on.
With the past in mind, and behind you where it belongs, it’s now time to focus forward and Carpe Diem my friend…
Trust In What Is Good About You
We all have things that we are good at in this life. Things that almost come naturally to you.
- Building relationships with others.
- Being social.
- Being charitable.
- Investing your time.
- Being good parents.
- Being good children.
- Building things with your hands.
- Creating music.
- Expressing yourself through art.
There are many more that I can share.
Some of us, in the past, might have suffered from the “I can’t see the forest for the trees” syndrome. So advanced in our vices that we can’t see our value to this universe.
We are ALL good at something.
Yes, even you…
And it’s usually something we really enjoy doing, if you’ll stop and think about it.
What we must do is find out what our strengths are and focus our efforts around what we know are our positive attributes. Use them to our advantage.
My next recommendation?
Profile Yourself
You are going to need to go to Tony Robbins’ website, enroll under the Get Started Now section, and invest about 30 uninterrupted minutes and take a quiz about yourself.
In return?
You get a very lengthy report back giving you a greater understanding of your strengths.
Invest the time, answer honestly, and you’ll be impressed with what you see…
Let me know what you see?
