Well, overall it was a really good week. Mostly highs, with the occasional low.
I’ll cease with the suspense. I know it’s killing ya…
Got our bicycles! Took them out over the last couple of weekends! A serious amount of pride inside, knowing that I rode that much and didn’t fall off or break anything!
Gym became a habit for us. Plenty of miles to go around. Other than the day I left my gym bag at work. Apparently they won’t let you on the treadmill naked. Smart policy I think.
Finished the Paul Revere book. Great read. Now on to Ozzy’s autobiography. I’ll keep you posted on it. What a riot!
Weight? Total loss now? 132 lbs. I officially hit 185 this week. According to my BMI goal, I’ve got a little more to go…
As far as the mental adjustments and goal setting, I am still a work in progress. Let’s just say that I’ve taken some pressure off, streamlined my daily routine and am making my life work for me.
Ok, there is one negative I would like to see if anyone has any ideas on…
Candi and I have two Labrador Retrievers who are currently living with the in-laws in Arkansas. We couldn’t move them down to Shreveport with us because of our living arrangements. (Special thanks to Karen and Glen for the care, btw).
Anyway, they are both at 13 or nearing 13 years of age. Hips and legs are becoming a bother for them both and the rumor of “putting them to sleep” has come up.
Question: Does anyone have any alternatives in mind other than putting them down?
I’m just one of those guys who have a hard time giving up on the underdog, ya know?
Anyway, we are going to visit them next weekend and make a decision. Just looking for some other creative ideas if anyone has them…
Hope you have a great week! We’ll see you tomorrow!
